ARE WE CONTRIBUTING TO OUR OWN DEMISE?

     Too often, we just cannot see the forest for the trees.  I seem to recollect that for the last fifty years the topic of global population has captured the imagination of governments who envisioned masses starving due to a lack of food.  But alas, the quest for self-preservation has caused us to contribute to our own demise.


     How often are we now subjected to a barrage of warnings of the impending financial precipice that faces the world.  We are told to beware because the world lacks young workers who produce goods and contribute to the social security sys




tem or other social programs that support the elderly around the globe.   Sadly, the only solution provided by the political socialist establishment is to tax those who are more affluent in an attempt to make us all equal. But for how long? 


     Past generations relied on the family unit to provide support.  In countries where there are no social handouts, the family is the only means of survival.  This is not to suggest that we must all turn to our children to care for us in our waning years.  It is a call to humanity to return to the principals upon which the survival of the human race was established. 


     Procreation has been turned into





an undesired life norm. To envy of our neighbor's home, social standing, cars and life style has been sold to the masses both in America and in Europe.  This selfish attitude that has permeated our society has encouraged young adults to forgo marriage or to limit family size to achieve material goals.  Worse still, children in their tender years are encouraged to engage in sexual activity long before they are capable of coping with the accompanying responsibilities.  The pleasures of married life and having and cherishing children are frowned upon. 


     America should take note of societal demographics in socialist
